On December 14, according to reports from Beibu Gulf Port, on December 13, with the departure of the "Haifeng Guangxi" container ship carrying 32 tons of lighters from Shaodong, Hunan, from the automated container terminal at Beibu Gulf Port in Qinzhou, the maiden voyage of the "Hunan/Guizhou—Beibu Gulf Port—Jakarta" new western land-sea channel for lighter foreign trade exports was successfully completed. This marks substantial progress in the export of lighters from Beibu Gulf Port, and the port's cargo structure has been further improved. Lighters are classified as flammable gas hazardous materials under category 2.1, and the country has strict regulations regarding their transportation and storage.
