Tomson Group Limited (stock code: 258) was established in the late 1980s as an investment holding company. Its shares are listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited. The Group's main business includes property development and investment, hospitality and leisure business, securities trading, plastics business, and operation and investment in media and entertainment business. Since the Group moved its investment focus to Pudong New Area in Shanghai, China in the early 1990s, the Group's main operating base is located in mainland China, particularly in Shanghai. Property development and investment in Shanghai's Pudong New Area is the Group's core business, and the main focus is on developing high-end residential projects. A high-rise residential development project located on the banks of the Huangpu River in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone - Tomson Yipin is a key project of the Group. Half of the project was allocated for sale, while the other half was for rent. Furthermore, in 2015, the Group completed the development of a low-rise residential property project called Tomson Lake Garden Phase III in the Three Eight Rivers area and the adjacent Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club, and the project is for sale. The Group has also acquired land use rights on a plot of land located in the Jinqiao - Zhangjiang area to be developed into a low-density residential project in stages. The first phase of construction of the project is underway and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. In addition to Shanghai, the Group expanded its property development business to Tianjin and Macau, China in 2010. The Group established a joint venture with a state-owned enterprise located in Tianjin to develop a high-rise real estate development project located on the banks of the Haihe River in Heping District, in the central business district of Tianjin, called Jinwan Plaza Phase II. The project covers residential, office and commercial use. The residential development project is called “Tomson's Bay One Product”. It is intended for sale and construction was completed in the fourth quarter of 2015. The Group has also invested in a low-rise residential property development project located in Macau, China, which is listed as a World Heritage Site, and named “Tomson Bishop Hill No. 1”. The project includes four residential buildings, a club house, swimming pool, roof garden and parking space, with a total floor area of about 22,800 square meters. The project is currently on pre-sale and is expected to be delivered to buyers in early 2016. In terms of hospitality and leisure business, the Group operates an 18-hole golf course with international standards in Huamu District, Pudong, Shanghai - Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club. The Group also holds 50% interest in Shanghai Jinjiang Tomson Intercontinental Hotel, a five-star hotel located in the Lujiazui Financial and Trade Zone in Pudong. Furthermore, the Group invests in a number of securities listed in Hong Kong, and is engaged in the export trade of plastic parts, as well as in media and entertainment business (including film distribution, live shows and entertainer management) to diversify its business portfolio.
