AlipayHK and Kwan Chung have announced a partnership to launch cross-border Transportation services, making it easier for Hong Kong residents to travel north during the Lunar New Year period. Passengers can directly pre-purchase bus tickets for the cross-border round-the-island tour through the AlipayHK application, and use the purchased QR code tickets in the app to board the bus, heading directly to popular destinations such as the Shenzhen Da Qian Li Shopping Center (Baoan Store) and Hengqin Innovation Square. AlipayHK's CEO, Li Yung Si, stated that spending by Hong Kong residents in the north has become a recent trend, and it is hoped that the newly launched cross-border Transportation service will further enhance the one-stop travel experience for Hong Kong residents traveling north.
Three bus companies will increase the fare for their bus routes starting this week.
The Transport Department reminds the public that the bus routes operated by KMB, Citybus, and New Lantao Bus will have fare adjustments starting this Sunday (January 5).
