Ming Pao cited reports that Bright Smart Financial Services (01428.HK)'s Bright Smart Securities representative lawyers have sent letters to multiple brokerages stating that on the afternoon of October 24th, around 2pm to 4pm, there was suspicion of hackers invading their clients' accounts to conduct unauthorized stock trades, unusually repeating trades of Chi Kingstone (01380.HK) shares. However, after consulting the relevant clients, it was confirmed that no stock transactions were made. The clients indicated that their accounts were invaded by hackers impersonating their identities and instructing the purchase of related stocks. It was disclosed that Bright Smart has compensated all customer losses. It is reported that Bright Smart suspects some of the sellers of Chi Kingstone shares conspired to commit fraud.
