Hebei Construction Group was formerly known as Northeast Engineering Company of the Ministry of Light Industry (established in 1952) and the First Construction and Installation Engineering Company of the North China Textile Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Textile Industry (established in 1953). After merging in 1964, the two central subsidiary enterprises were renamed the Second Construction Engineering Company of the North China Engineering Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Construction and Engineering, formed as Hebei Construction Group Co., Ltd. in 2017, and successfully listed on the Hong Kong H-share main board on December 15, 2017. The registered capital is 1761.3835 million yuan, China's top 80 general contractors (ranked 27th in 2020), and the top 500 Chinese enterprises (ranked 447 in 2020). Hebei Construction Group is a cross-industry premium qualified enterprise with general construction contracting as the main project. It can undertake general construction contracting, general engineering contracting and project management services for housing construction, highways, railways, municipal utilities, landscaping, ports and waterways, water conservancy and hydropower, and various types of projects. It also has construction engineering design grade A, civil defense engineering design grade A, landscape and garden engineering special grade A qualification, professional grade B qualification for municipal industry (water supply engineering, drainage engineering, road engineering, bridge engineering), complete foreign aid projects, and foreign labor cooperation management qualifications, etc. Hebei Construction Group currently has 9667 employees, with more than 200 experts, doctorates, and master's degrees receiving subsidies from the State Council and various levels of government, and the proportion of undergraduate personnel has reached 64%; the proportion of people with titles in the company is about 71%, of which 11% are employees with senior or higher titles; the company has 2,595 registered builders of all types, including more than 2,100 first-level registered builders. Relying on strong management advantages, technical advantages and comprehensive service capabilities for owners, Hebei Construction Group undertook a large number of “high, big, fine, advanced and special” national and local key projects in 32 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, and special administrative regions across the country, including Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, and insisted on building international brands in the construction industry, and later undertook overseas project construction in more than a dozen countries, including Fiji, Angola, Moldova, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. In 2020, revenue was 47.5 billion yuan, new contracts were 54.4 billion yuan, and taxes were 1.41 billion yuan. It has strong investment and financing capabilities, and the bank's credit limit has exceeded 100 billion yuan. It has successively invested in dozens of key projects, including BOT, BT, and PPP for the construction of the Dingzhou Sewage Treatment Plant, Baoding City, Xingtai City and fourteen counties within its jurisdiction, Baoding Ecological Park, Tangshan Seaport District Infrastructure, Baiyangdian High Speed Rail Station Square in Xiong'an New Area, the Qinhuangdao City Section Renovation Project on National Highway G102, “Improving the Rural Human Settlement Environment in 2017-2018” in Qiaocheng District of Bozhou City, and the PPP project for the overall relocation of the Raoyang County People's Hospital, etc., with a total investment of more than 20 billion yuan.
