The predecessor of Hebei Construction Group was the Northeast Engineering Company of the Central Ministry of Light Industry (established in 1952) and the First Construction and Installation Engineering Company of the North China Textile Administration of the Ministry of Textile Industry (established in 1953). After merging in 1964, the two central enterprises were renamed the Second Construction Engineering Company of the North China Engineering Administration of the Ministry of Construction Engineering. They were formed as Hebei Construction Group Co., Ltd. in 1997, changed its name to Hebei Construction Group Co., Ltd. in 2017, and was successfully listed on the Hong Kong H-share main board on December 15, 2017. The registered capital is 1761,3835 million yuan, China's top 80 general contractors (ranked 27th in 2020), and the top 500 Chinese enterprises (ranked 447 in 2020). Hebei Construction Group is a multi-industry premium qualified enterprise with general construction contracting as its main project. It can undertake general construction contracting, general engineering contracting and project management services for housing construction, highways, railways, municipal utilities, landscaping, ports and waterways, water conservancy, hydropower, and various types of projects. At the same time, they also have construction engineering design grade A, civil defense engineering design grade A, special landscape engineering grade A qualifications, municipal industry (water supply engineering, drainage engineering, road engineering, bridge engineering) professional grade B, complete foreign aid projects and foreign labor cooperation management qualifications.
