Ahsay Backup (08290.HK) issues profit warning: expecting net loss not exceeding 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars in the first half of the year.
On August 2nd, Glorious Days announced that the group is expected to record a net loss of no more than 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars for the six months ended June 30, 2024, while it recorded a net profit of approximately 2 million Hong Kong dollars for the same period in 2023. The Board of Directors believes that the change from profit to loss is mainly due to (i) the lack of one-time income recognized by canceling the comprehensive entry of a subsidiary company confirmed in 2023; (ii) the decrease in revenue from online backup and information platform businesses due to the overall weakness of the global economy and soft demand; and (iii) the increase in employee costs due to the increase in average number of employees.
