Tencent debunks rumors that the WeChat gift-giving feature has commercial plans.
On December 25, Gelonghui reported that Tencent's Social Media platform WeChat has begun testing a gift-giving feature. An online meeting summary suggested that this feature is part of WeChat's larger e-commerce plan, but Tencent officially denied having any business plans, stating, "We just want to do something practical."
