Gelonghui, November 21|A spokesperson for Nissan stated on Thursday that around 6% of its usa employees accepted the early retirement plan as part of its global plan to lay off 9,000 people. According to a safety filing, as of March, Nissan had approximately 0.017 million employees in the usa. Due to the early retirements, about 1,000 usa employees will leave the company by the end of this year. Due to a decline in sales in the china and north america markets, Nissan announced global layoffs this month and will reduce its production capacity by 20%. Previously, Nissan also cut its annual profit outlook by 70%.
