On July 3rd, Gelonghui reported that the union representing Alaska Airlines employees stated that, according to the latest provisional labor agreement signed with the airline for a period of three years, cabin crew members' average salaries will increase by 32%. The union stated on Tuesday that the agreement has not yet been approved by members of the flight attendants' association; this contract is the first agreement with legal binding for flight attendants who join the union to be included in boarding fees. US flight attendants typically begin calculating paid time after the cabin door closes and do not include boarding time for passengers. The union stated that we achieved a significant salary increase after joining the boarding fee. In February of this year, Alaska Airlines flight attendants authorized a pay vote for the first time in 30 years.
