GLONGHUI, December 12 | According to Reuters, Charles van der Steene, president of shipping giant Maersk North America, said that due to potential US port strikes and the imposition of tariffs on foreign-made goods, global container market throughput is expected to increase by 5% to 7% next year. He said that the Houthis attack on Red Sea vessels and the strong demand from US companies will continue to stimulate the growth of containers. The US is Maersk's largest market in terms of sales.
