Amazon's original goal was to double the number of Black employees in vice president and director positions by 2020, and then double that number again in 2021. Meta also retreated from its diversity initiatives on Friday, abandoning measures for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Meta stated it will cease considering qualified candidates from underrepresented groups for vacant positions, as well as its equity and inclusion training programs.
