Delivery Hero may face a fine of over 0.4 billion british pounds for antitrust violations by the European Union.
On July 8th, Glon Hui reported that the British takeaway platform, Delivery Hero, may face a fine of more than 0.4 billion British pounds for allegedly engaging in anti-monopoly behavior as pointed out by the European Union. The platform stated that the fine amount is higher than the group's original amount of 0.186 billion British pounds, so new provisions need to be made for this. Delivery Hero disclosed the above-mentioned issues and made provisions in its 2023 annual report. The company stated on Sunday that it estimated the above-mentioned amount based on further contact with the European Union. The group will continue to cooperate with the authorities' investigation.
