Intel Co-CEOs Say They Remain Invested in Foundry, Not Writing off Separation
Intel (INTC.US) CFO states that the issue of splitting the company remains unresolved.
Intel's Chief Financial Officer, Dave Zinsner, stated that the formal separation of the company's factory and product development departments is an unresolved issue that will be decided by the next Chief Executive Officer of the chipmaker. Earlier, after Pat Gelsinger was removed from the CEO position, Zinsner served as the interim co-CEO. Zinsner mentioned that these two departments are already operationally separate, with different oversight and accounts. He believes it will take time to restore Intel's competitiveness and financial condition.
