Lyft has launched a series of new features to enhance the safety of its ride-hailing platform.
On November 20, Guolonghui reported that Lyft announced on Tuesday that the company is introducing a series of new features, including verification badges for passengers to enhance the safety of its ride-hailing platform. Lyft's competitor Uber began rolling out similar features two months ago, allowing drivers to use smart phones instead of a dashcam to record trips. Lyft stated that, in addition to the passenger verification program, drivers will also receive a new ride acceptance screen showing more information such as the passenger's name, rating, phone number, and verification badge. In certain markets, drivers will also receive alerts if their route passes through traffic enforcement zones or school districts.
