Dell (DELL.US) announced on Thursday that it has provided tens of thousands of graphics processing units (GPUs) for the supercomputer project of Elon Musk, the founder of the ai startup xAI. Dell's Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Clarke, stated that the large facility is still under construction, and the company has developed from a blank slate to the large-scale deployment of tens of thousands of GPUs in just a few months. Musk's xAI is developing a large facility to enhance its computing power in building ai tools, and currently, Dell, nvidia (NVDA.US), and super micro computer (SMCI.US) are providing hardware for the project.
