ECB to review bank transaction books in stress tests to expose climate risks
The ECB will review the trading operations of major banks in next year's climate stress tests. A former employee of Amazon.Com Inc warehouse recently took the company to court because she suffered from irritable bowel syndrome and often went to the toilet during office hours, and the company fired her in retaliation. The employee, Maria Iris Janet Olivero (Maria Iris Jennitte Olivero), filed a lawsuit in New Jersey Superior Court in June, demanding Amazon.Com Inc pay damages. Earlier this month, Amazon.Com Inc responded by trying to escalate the case to a federal court. Olivero said in the indictment that she told a manager last November that she had irritable bowel syndrome.
KKR led consortium offered US $3.7 billion to acquire Australian infrastructure investment group Spark
Australia's Spark Infrastructure Group (Spark Infrastructure Group) announced on Monday that it agreed to accept a takeover offer worth about A $5.2 billion (US $3.7 billion) from a consortium led by US private equity giant KKR. The consortium offered A $2.95 a share for Sydney-based Spark. The deal was unanimously recommended by Spark's board of directors.
