Schroders plans to sell its Indonesian Business with managed assets totaling 4 billion dollars.
Gelonghui, December 16 | According to Reuters, the Global Asset Management company Schroders is considering selling its Business in Indonesia, managing assets of about 4 billion USD. At least four asset management firms, including HSBC, Allianz, and Bank Negara Indonesia, have expressed preliminary interest. Sources say this move is part of a business reorganization plan pushed by the new president Richard Oldfield after taking office, aimed at reducing underperforming market businesses. It is reported that Schroders has hired a team of advisors including UBS Group to assist in advancing the potential sale of its Indonesian Business. A spokesperson for Schroders declined to comment.
