NatureMetrics Ltd, a UK startup that helps clients assess natural impacts, has completed a $25 million (£20.4 million) Series B financing round. The company stated that this funding will support its expansion to achieve self-sustaining profitability goals. The round was led by Just Climate, an investment institution under Generation Investment Management, founded by former USA Vice President Al Gore, along with EDF Pulse Ventures and Monaco.

The largest retailer in the United Kingdom, Tesco, achieved a record 3.7% sales growth during the holiday season.
On January 10, Glonghui reported that Tesco, the largest Retail Trade in the United Kingdom, stated that for the nineteen weeks ending January 4 of this year, the group comparable sales increased by 3.1% after excluding VAT and fuel, helping Tesco's market share reach its highest level since 2016. For the third financial quarter ending on November 23 last year, it increased by 2.8%. During the six-week holiday season ending on January 4, sales grew by 3.7%, marking the strongest Christmas sales recorded. The company maintained its full-year Business adjusted operating profit guidance of 2.9 billion British Pounds.
