Tesla (TSLA.US) supercharger expansion slows down, decreasing by 28% year-on-year.
The team responsible for installing new electric car chargers and charging stations for Tesla (TSLA.US) carried out a large-scale layoff in April, resulting in a slowdown in the expansion of the company's Supercharger network in recent months. Tesla has been working to rebuild the team, including rehiring some previously laid-off employees, but according to data from electric vehicle analysis company EVAdoption, the number of new Supercharger stations opened from May to August decreased by 28% compared to the same period last year. The data shows that in the first eight months of this year, the number of newly activated Supercharger stations decreased by 11% compared to 2023.
