Senators have questioned the pricing of seat assignments by Frontier and Spirit Aviation.
Gelonghui, January 23 | According to Reuters, three US senators have expressed a desire for Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines to disclose whether they manipulate seat fees using customers' personal information, charging different fees to passengers on the same flight. The senators stated that airlines may use consumers' postal codes, search history, or other information 'to influence pricing.' They called on airlines to cease these practices, stating that it undermines consumer confidence, reduces competition, and prevents customers from accurately comparing prices.
