Warner Bros. Discovery Channel Q3 revenue decreased by 4% year-on-year, with an additional 7.2 million streaming subscribers.
On November 7th, Warner Bros. Discovery Channel announced its third-quarter performance, with revenue of $9.62 billion, a 4% year-on-year decrease, lower than the market's expected $9.81 billion; earnings per share were $0.05, better than market expectations. Revenue from the direct-to-consumer sector, including streaming services, increased by 8% year-on-year to $2.6 billion. Revenue from the traditional network sector increased by 3% to $5.01 billion. Thanks to its international expansion strategy, the company added 7.2 million streaming subscribers during the period, the strongest quarterly growth since the platform was launched, while analysts had expected an addition of 6.1 million.
