On August 28, 1998, Jilin Electronics Group invested with the operating assets of its subsidiary Tonghua Radio Factory to produce televisions along with some related liabilities, 99.72% of the shares of Jilin Amethyst Electronics Co., Ltd., 30% of the shares of the Northern LCD Research and Development Center, and land use rights of 0.136 million square meters of land occupied by the TFT-LCD project. Jiangmen Gaoluhua TV Factory, Tonghua Sanhai TV Factory, and Jiangmen Gaoluhua Product Sales Co., Ltd. invested 90% of the shares in Jiangmen Gaoluhua Product Sales Co., Ltd. Electronic Materials Corporation, Jiangmen Gaoluhua Group, Jilin Longda Real Estate Development and Construction Co., Ltd., and Changchun Jiahe Trading Co., Ltd. jointly initiated the establishment of Jilin Tonghai Hi-Tech Co., Ltd.
