Shanghai-Hong Kong Joint Holdings Limited (formerly Wan Shun Chang Group Co., Ltd.) is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Limited under the stock code 1001. Established in 1961, the Group is a trader that provides steel bar requirements for construction and manufacturing in Hong Kong, China. Since then, our products have been more diversified, including long structural materials, steel bar joints/finished rebar, and metal sheets, and have gradually grown into a leader among major distributors of steel products in the region. We have established long-term cooperative relationships not only with contractors and developers in Hong Kong, China, but also with regional and global steel manufacturers. We entered the market with two highly specialized teams of infrastructure and real estate value-added. The infrastructure consists of our processing and distribution of building materials, processing and distribution of steel coils, and recycling of metal materials. Real estate value-added consists of our real estate business, Lishang Building Products and Design Solutions (“BDS”), and engineering plastics. Our real estate team specializes in renewals and property upgrades. Our business model for investing in Shanghai's central business district is unique and has achieved good results over the years. BDS also uses the brands we represent when renewing real estate for the real estate business. infrastructure Construction materials processing and distribution Established in 1961, we are a trader that provides steel bar requirements for construction and manufacturing in Hong Kong, China. We are one of the largest construction steel suppliers in Hong Kong, China, and have received many of the most representative projects in Hong Kong, China, such as the construction of the Hong Kong-Macau Zhuhai Bridge and the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal. We successfully competed for 30,000 square meters of land with a pier in Tsing Yi, Hong Kong, China in 2014, and completed the construction of Hong Kong's first automated steel bar processing plant in October 2015. Construction of the steel bar processing plant began in January 2015, and operation began in January 2016. The plant's location minimizes inbound logistics costs. Not only that, but the investment in automated operation will provide contractors in Hong Kong, China, with a supply chain based on which they can use immediately and test products in a timely manner. Coil processing and distribution We expanded our business to mainland China in the early 1990s and established coil processing centers in South China, East China and North China. In 1993, we established a joint venture with Baosteel to establish Shanghai Bao Shun Chang International Trade Co., Ltd. (“Bao Shun Chang”), which distributes steel coils with strict surface requirements in industries such as automobiles, home appliances and construction. We previously held 66.7% of Bao Shun Chang's shares and became 100% owner of Bao Shun Chang in 2013. Recovery and reuse of metal materials We acquired Hetai Steel Co., Ltd. (“Hetai”) in 2014, which is one of the largest steel recycling plants in Hong Kong, China. Hutai is strategically located in Tsing Yi and is equipped with a pier. There is a huge demand for scrap in Hong Kong, China, where more than 60% comes from demolition and construction projects. We have invested in automated operations to reduce the manpower required to process scrap and create a safer working environment for our employees. We collect and process steel scrap and sell it to Asia. Real estate appreciation Real estate business Shanghai is rapidly becoming Asia's largest and one of the world's most important economic centers. The Shanghai government will elevate Shanghai as one of the largest and most important financial, shipping and trade centers in the world, and establish a free trade zone for this purpose, thus beginning the transformation to a service-oriented economy. Our real estate business is mainly focused on finding and buying underperforming properties in the Shanghai region. We look for areas of urban renewal and upgrading because these projects are easily accessible and well-designed transformation strategies provide immediate value appreciation by upgrading tenants. Our remodeling strategy is to improve the quality of the original property and drive the improvement of the surrounding environment of the property. We feel obligated to make the areas we invest in more beautiful, so we work with renowned designers to ensure our transformation meets the requirements of shareholders, tenants, and local authorities. Lishang School building products and design solutions BDS was founded in 1997, and our primary focus is on architects and designers with high quality bathroom and kitchen utensils requirements. We represent world-renowned brands and have many successful projects and customers who are very satisfied with the projects. We provide software design solutions, warehouse management, logistics, technical support and installation services. Engineering plastics Since 1972, we have been an approved distributor for all of the world's major plastic suppliers. We have many years of experience in the plastics industry and are developing rapidly in China.
