According to sources quoted by Bloomberg, Apollo Global Management from the USA is considering participating in a privatization plan to hold the Japan 7-Eleven brand of Seven & i, with plans to invest up to 1.5 trillion yen (approximately 9.5 billion USD) when the founder Ito family privatizes. It is reported that under the new plan, Apollo will join the Ito family and Itochu, the operator of FamilyMarts convenience stores in Japan, as major investors, with the Ito family's investment commitment being approximately 5,000.
