nokia oyj expands cooperation with Deutsche Telekom to deploy over 3,000 open network sites.
On November 27, Glonghui reported that nokia oyj announced that Deutsche Telekom AG, one of the largest telecommunications operators in europe, has chosen the company to deploy more than 3,000 open network sites in northern germany. This large-scale network trade is a significant commercial deployment of OpenRAN open technology. It is reported that OpenRAN technology allows telecommunications operators to select components from different device suppliers without having to purchase the entire set of equipment from a single supplier. According to the cooperation statement from both parties, nokia oyj's technology will work with japan's information and communication technology.
Deutsche Telekom is stepping up its layout of OpenRAN and expanding the scale of cooperation with nokia oyj (NOK.US).
